Girijatmaj's temple is situated on the mountain away from river
Kukadi, while Vighneshwara's temple is situated on the banks of river Kukadi.
Among Ashtavinayakas Vighneshwara temple is the only temple with a golden
dome & pinnacle.

In Junnar taluka of Pune district, Ozar is at
a distance of 12 kms. from Narayangaon. Ozar is at a distance of 85 kms. from
Pune.
1) Ozar is at a distance of 8 kms from Junnar. State transport buses don't
go to Ozar directly, you have to get down at Junnar & go to Ozar by rikshaw,
jeep etc.
2) Since the bridge is built on river Kukadi vehicles can directly go upto
the temple.
3) There are regular bus services from Shivajinagar bus stand of Pune.
4) From Mumbai, Via-Thane-Kalyan-Bapsai-Saralgaon & Otur, Lenyadri is at a
distance of 179 kms. & Ozar is at a distance of 182 kms.
In the morning go to Ozar & have Darshan of Vighneshwara. In the evening you
can enjoy a visit to fort Shivneri. On the second day go & have blessings
of Girijatmaj at Lenyadri.
Vighneshwara's temple facing east is surrounded
on four sides by a protective stone wall. One can walk over the wall & have
sight of fort Shivneri & Girijatmaj. At the entrance there are two 'Deep-Malas'
- meaning stone pillar for oil lamps & two huge 'Dwar-Palaks' - meaning guards.
On entering the temple you will see owaris (small room for meditation) on
both the sides. The Temple has a tiled compound.
The main temple has two halls. The first hall is 20 feet high & has doors
facing north & south. It has an idol of Dhundiraj. The next hall is 10 feet
high. At the entrance of this hall there is an idol of a running rat made
of white marble. Walls of the temple are decorated by colourful & attractive
sketches. Idols of Panchayatan (Sun, Shiva, Vishnu, Goddess, Ganapati) are
situated in the four corners of the sanctum. Temple has a golden dome & pinnacle.
It is said that peshava king Bajirao Peshava's younger brother Chimaji Appa
renovated this temple & offered a golden dome on conquering Vasai fort from
the Portuguese.
This temple was built in 1785 A.D. Temple was renovated in 1967 by a great
Ganesh devotee Shri Appashastri Joshi. As on today you will find a newly renovated
attractive temple with all comforts.

Idol of Vishneshwar Vinayak, faces east & its
trunk turned towards left. The idols smeared in vermilion mixed with oil,
has two emerald studded eyes & a diamond on his forehead & in the navel. On
the two sides are brass idols of Riddhi & Siddhi.

In addition to Bhadrapada & Magh Shudha Chaturthi,
there is another festival of 5 days from Kartiki Purnima to Chaturthi.
There is beautiful lighting (Deep Mala) arrangement during that period.
